~I Also Signed The Pledge...~

The Mom Pledge

There is a new online mom community that I think everyone should join!

~The Mom Pledge is about bloggers standing up, speaking out, and coming together to eradicate online bullying of moms by other moms. The time has come for us to take the power back and own this issue.~

Mom bloggers should make a positive difference in the lives of others, not bully one another.
I’m happy to say that I have not directly felt bullied in the blog/social media world, but I know many women have. This has to stop. We are an example to our children.

Why is it that when I see a tweet about a child being bullied that all mom claws come out. All moms join together and talk about how awful this is. Yet, when moms disagree about parenting styles, education, competitive sports etc. some choose to take the route of bullying and not use tactful disagreement. It is okay to have differing opinions, it is NOT okay to leave hateful comments!

I could go on and on, but instead I just want you all to know that I have decided to take The Mom Pledge. I hope you will consider doing the same! It cost you nothing as it is free and once again I have to say that we moms (and dads) are the example when we're blogging in the sandbox!!!

Let’s Stand up, Speak out & Come together!
